Principles and tools to support the design and manufacture of products within constraints of cost and schedule. Students will learn how to develop and evaluate mechanical product designs and specify appropriate manufacturing methods for mechanical parts. This course will provide students with a systematic process to develop a product from the point of customer needs through conceptual design and to developing a functional prototype and specification of component's material, shape, and manufacturing processes. Corequisite: 惭贰贰骋听20103. Prerequisite: 惭贰贰骋听21031. (Typically offered: Spring and Summer)
