Introductory programming course for students majoring in computer science or computer engineering. Software development process: problem specification, program design, implementation, testing and documentation. Programming topics: data representation, conditional and iterative statements, functions, arrays, strings, file I/O and classes. Using C++ in a UNIX environment. Corequisite: Lab component. Prerequisite: ²Ñ´¡°Õ±áÌý24005 or ²Ñ´¡°Õ±áÌý24004 with a grade of C or better, a College of Engineering (ENGR) student, a Computer Science Minor (CSCE-M), or a math major (MATHBS or MATHBA). (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
