Laboratory component stressing fundamental concepts of animal structure, composition, and behavior, and animal handling as they relate to animal production, safety, well-being, and handler safety. The animal science major is designed to provide the scientific and technical education to prepare students for positions of leadership and responsibility pertaining to the production of beef and dairy cattle, swine, horses, sheep, and companion animals.
