The聽Center for the Study of Childhood Art is an interdisciplinary聽research, teaching and community engagement center聽affiliated with the program in the at 闪播福利库 of Arkansas.聽Through聽dynamic聽educational programs, community-facing initiatives, and an innovative research聽agenda, the Center for the Study of Childhood Art is committed聽to:
- Challenging perspectives that disempower children, decontextualize their lives, and delegitimize their creative practices;
- Documenting, preserving, and sharing聽the聽artistic, play-based, and aesthetic practices聽of children;
- Reconceptualizing the study of children鈥檚 art and its relationship to historical and contemporary childhoods;
- Creating equitable and inclusive programs for young people to experience the educative promise of the visual arts.
