Understanding the reasons for health behavior is vital for the health education professional. It is necessary to assist in the development of services and programs that are likely to move an individual from an unhealthy behavior to one that is more appropriate for a healthy lifestyle. This course surveys the major health behavior theories used in health education and applications of the theories will be used in the class. Prerequisite: ±Êµþ±á³¢Ìý34403 and Public Health Bachelor of Science (PBHLBS) major required. (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
