OMGTÂ 50003. Introduction to Operations Management. 3 Hours.
This course provides an overview of the functional activities necessary for the creation and delivery of goods and services in operations management. Students will learn about the following topics: productivity; strategy in a global business environment; forecasting; design of goods and services; quality management; process strategy; location and layout strategies; human resources management; supply chain management, analytics, and sustainability; inventory management; aggregate planning; capacity and constraint management; transportation models; maintenance and reliability; and other subjects relevant to the field. The course provides students with an improved understanding of the different operations management areas. Required course. Prerequisite: °¿²Ñ³Ò°ÕÌý50203 or have departmental consent. (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
