Provides an overview of the functional activities necessary for the creation/delivery of goods and services. Topics covered include: productivity; strategy in a global business environment; project management; quality management; location and layout strategies; human resources management; supply chain and inventory management; material requirements planning; JIT; maintenance and reliability; and other subjects relevant to the field. Required course. Pre- or Corequisite: °¿²Ñ³Ò°ÕÌý48503. Prerequisite: °¿²Ñ³Ò°ÕÌý43303, and must be admitted to the Master of Science in Operations Management Program, Project Management Graduate Certificate Program, be a Non-Degree Seeking Graduate Student, or have departmental consent. MSE or MSEM students may take the course with advisor consent. (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
