This course builds on previous nursing knowledge by focusing on gerontologic theories, concepts, and principles as they relate to nursing care of older adults. Students explore socio-cultural context of gerontologic nursing, professional standards of practice, common health concerns, and future considerations. Prerequisite: 狈鲍搁厂听43233, 狈鲍搁厂听43133 and admission of to the Online Undergraduate BSN Professional Program or permission by the instructor or department head.
