LAWW 69204. Legal Clinic: Civil Litigation and Advocacy Clinic. 4 Hours.

Students will represent low-income clients seeking to enforce their rights in civil matters. Under close faculty supervision, students will develop and refine their ability to effectively and ethically practice law. Students will handle all aspects of client representation, including interviewing and counseling, fact investigation and discovery, negotiation, and court appearances. Students will also participate in a weekly seminar and may have the opportunity to engage in other forms of advocacy. Cumulative GPA of 2.00, successful completion of 48 semester hours, including Civil Procedure I and II, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Professional Responsibility, and qualifying for Rule XV practice. Prerequisite: ³¢´¡°Â°ÂÌý41703, ³¢´¡°Â°ÂÌý50103 and ³¢´¡°Â°ÂÌý60903. (Typically offered: Fall and Spring)
