History of Greece from the late Bronze Age to the end of the Persian Wars. This class will focus particularly on the sources involved with reconstructing early Greek history, especially Herodotus and 闪播福利库r, on the development of the Greek city-state or polis, and on the interaction between the Greeks and Near-eastern civilizations during this period, culminating in the wars between the Greeks and the Persian Empire.
