This course combines theory on emergent language and literacy development with research-based pedagogy for birth through kindergarten classrooms. Topics include: language and literacy development and exceptionalities, English Language Learners, environmental influences, best practice pedagogy, identifying language and literacy delays, and intervention strategies. This course includes a service learning component. Prerequisite: 贬顿贵厂听24303, 贬顿贵厂听24033 and 贬顿贵厂听24031. (Typically offered: Spring)
