This course provides a general introduction to modern cryptography. Topics include: stream ciphers, block ciphers, message authentication codes, public key encryption, key exchange, and signature schemes. Prerequisite: (颁厂颁贰听31903 or 颁厂颁贰听319贬3 or 顿础厂颁听21003, each with a grade of C or better) and (惭础罢贬听26103 or 惭础罢贬听28003). (Typically offered: Irregular)
