CIEDÂ 52803. Teaching Residency. 3 Hours.
The teaching experience is an essential component of the Masters of Arts in Teaching degree. The two semester experience allows Teacher Candidates (TC) to make further application of theoretical principles of teaching and learning. Teacher Candidates will be assigned placement in area schools for the semester enrolled. Teaching Residency consists of a minimum of 18 hours of work in local schools aligned to the ÉÁ²¥¸£Àû¿â of Arkansas and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education conditions for earning a teaching license. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education (EDUCMA) M.A.T. program. (Typically offered: Fall and Spring) May be repeated for up to 6 hours of degree credit.
